If you are not an AHPRA registered medical practitioner, you are still welcome to attend the course for professional development purposes but note that you will not receive a certificate of completion and you will not be accredited assess impairments for TAC, WorkCover and for the purposes of Part VBA of the Wrongs Act 1958 (personal injury).

To be accredited to perform impairment assessments for the TAC, WorkCover and for the purposes of Part VBA of the Wrongs Act 1958 (personal injury), the following criteria must be met:

Medical practitioners will receive accreditation based on the elective modules they successfully complete. The description of Stream 1 modules contains some information about accreditation. For further details about accreditation click here or visit our newsletter section.
Note: Other medical professionals like dentists, psychologists, nurses, optometrists, etc. are not considered medical practitioners for the purpose of the Acts and therefore cannot receive accreditation to perform assessments of impairment for TAC, WorkCover and for the purposes of Part VBA of the Wrongs Act 1958 (personal injury).
